Well it is that time of the year again. With the end of February bring the MSHSAA State Basketball Tournment. This year there are a few changes so we wanted to let you know some information. This years tournament is set to begin on February 22nd. Instead of having one host location like prior years, the games will be hosted by the highest seed. This year our South Shelby Ladybirds are the 3 seed and our South Shelby Cardinals are the 6 seed. This means that our Ladybirds will host the 1st round match up on Feburary 22nd against Fayette. The following evening our South Shelby Cardinals will travel to Fayette for boys action. As the tournament progress, the location of the games will change as the teams continue to win.
There will be ticket limitations at each location. These will be different as we progress through the district tournament. South Shelby High School will be distributing tickets for our players like we have for the entire year for the game hosted at South Shelby.
Lastly, we are not able to livesteam games once districts start using the NFHS livestream or the South Shelby Youtube Channel. We are working on the MSHSAA.TV App which is required to broadcast MSHSAA District-State Championship action. Please stay tuned for any new information on the school webpage.
