Doors open tonight at 5pm for the Boys District Championship and at noon tomorrow for the Girls District Championship. Hope to see everyone there.
Some of our 4th grade future farmers learned about ordering seed as part of their career project. We want to say a special thank you to Burrus Seed Company for donating product guides for the students to use, as well as popcorn and pencils for the whole class. Thank you!




South Shelby High School Scholar Bowl had a couple tough matches against Macon. JV scraped a super close win and Varsity continues their undefeated record in the conference.
Congratulations to the SS Lady Birds on their 40-29 win over Highland. They play Saturday against Palmyra for the District Championship.

This week in Mrs. Eleazarraraz's Foods class a student made a delicious vegetable stir fry and we played a game called Guess that Herb and Spice.

Senior Spotlight: Ryder Friesz
Ryder Friesz, will be a 2023 graduate of South Shelby High School, is the son of Brian and Amanda Friesz and the brother of Braydon and Taylor Friesz.
My favorite activity to do with my family is being able to be together and do anything.
The activities that I am involved in are football, and FFA.
The activity that I enjoyed the most is football because I enjoy hanging out with the team and coaches and the competitiveness of the game
Your favorite High School Memory is winning homecoming my senior year
The class that I have enjoyed the most is all of them because they were all a good time.
Outside of school, I enjoy being out with friends.
If I had one wish it would be to have a lot of money.
After High School, Ryder plans to work at B.K. Concrete.
The person I admire the most is my dad because he is teaching me how to be succesful and provide for my family.
The teacher that had the most influence on me is Coach Wise because he made learning things enjoyable and was always nice to be around.
The one thing I will miss most about South Shelby High School is being around everyone at school and getting to spend time with everyone.

Senior Spotlight: Zaiden Wood
Zaiden James Wood, will be a 2023 graduate of South Shelby High School, is the son of Danny and Gayla Wood. He is the brother of Preston, Dawson, and Mallory Wood.
My favorite activity to do with my family: When we play basketball with each other and go on float trips.
Favorite Childhood memory: Shooting my first deer
I am involved in Basketball, Baseball, FFA, the Flock, and member of the Shelbina First Christian Church.
The activity that I enjoy the most is Basketball because it gets your blood flowing and it’s really exciting.
Your favorite High School Memory is when we were dominating in FFA volleyball .
The class that I enjoyed the most is Ag Metals because I love joking around with Mr. Larrick and Mr. Schmidt.
Outside of school I enjoy hanging out with my friends and hunting.
If he had one wish it would be to win it all in basketball and baseball this year.
After High School, Zaiden plans to attend college, but hasn’t decided on one at this time. He wants to major in Ag Business and pursue playing baseball at the collegiate level.
The person I admire the most is my mom and dad because they both push me to do my best, they are always positive, and they make life fun.
The teacher that had the most influence on me is Cody Wise. As a teacher, he is very supportive and wants to make sure his students succeed. As a coach, he encourages me to push myself and to be the best I can. Coach Wise also gives me feedback on how I can improve my skills and be a team player.
The one thing I will miss most about South Shelby High School is seeing everyone such as staff and students because you never know when the next time will be that you’ll see them.

Kicked off FFA week at Clarence Christian Church! Great group of members and a great tradition. Lindsey Magruder said the FFA Creed as this year’s creed speaker and rocked it!!
We had lunch & our trip to Skyzone and then a snack & ice cream before heading home 💙💛
