Senior Spotlight: Eli Carter
Eli Austin Carter, will be a 2023 graduate of South Shelby High School, is the son of Angela Carter and Nate Moore. He is the brother of Trey Countryman and Ethan Moore.
My favorite activity to do with your family is to play basketball outside.
My favorite childhood memory is traveling across the country with my family.
I am involved in the following activities at school: football, basketball, baseball, and environmental club.
The activity that I enjoy the most is playing guitar because I love music and wanted to start making my own music and doing covers of different songs and artists that I enjoy listening to.
My favorite High School Memory is when I moved schools and made new friends with teachers and other students.
The classes that I enjoy the most is art and weightlifting because I like drawing stuff and I want to be become a better version of myself mentally and physically.
Outside of school, I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to music, and playing guitar.
If I had one wish it would be to be able to fix my mistakes and be able to play basketball again.
After High School, I plan to go to barber school in Columbia.
The people I admire the most is my family because they are there whenever I need them to be there for me.
The teacher that had the most influence on me is Mrs. Mudd because she helps me not just in school but personally, and also helps me get a better grade in her class.
The one thing I will miss most about South Shelby High School is all of the teachers and staff members, plus all of my other senior friends that I won’t be able to see as often.

SS Lady Birds win 56-36 over Duchesne. They will play Saturday at Moberly.
The High School Scholar Bowl Team played their last regular season conference match tonight against Brookfield. JV and Varsity both won their matches. JV ended with a 6-1 record and the Varsity Team finished UNDEFEATED in regular season matches!! We were missing Larissa and Evan tonight! But Isaac still had to get his "good luck". We are super proud of these kids even if they do drive me nuts!

Senior Spotlight: Miranda Patterson
Miranda Kae Patterson, will be a 2023 graduate of South Shelby High School, is the daughter of Dr. Steve and Jennifer Patterson. She is the sister of Matt Patterson and Michael Patterson.
My Favorite Childhood memory: Listening to the Space Jam album while shooting in the gym with dad
Activities I'm involved in: Basketball, Softball, FFA, FCA, NHS, Environmental Club, Shelbina First Christian Church
The activity that I enjoy the most is basketball because I love playing, I love my teammates, and I love what we, as a team, have been able to accomplish together.
My favorite High School Memory is when the basketball team made it to state.
The class that you enjoyed the most is Public Speaking because it's exciting. Public Speaking allows me to work on life skills, push me out of my comfort zone, and talk about topics I find interesting. Also Mrs. Mudd’s pretty cool, I guess.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, drawing, making YouTube videos

After High School, I plan to attend Maryville University in St. Louis to play basketball and get my degree in Exercise Science.

Ticket information
Class 3 school, the ticketed event will be in the class 2 listing at the same venue. The class 3 event description will state they must purchase their ticket in the class 2 event and will include a link directing them to the class 2 event. Additionally, attached is a QR code for Monday and Tuesday's contest that will direct you to our contest.
Sectional info @ Hannibal HS
Doors open Monday and Tuesday night at 5pm. Class 2 plays before our games at 6pm. Both our teams will play at 7:45.
South Shelby Fans – Sit on South Bleachers (opposite side of benches)
Student Standing Sections will be designated for each game
We will have a Pep Bus for those HS & MS students wanting to attend the Girls Sectional Basketball game @ Hannibal on Tuesday. ALL students will be required to sign up in the HS/MS office and be required to show proof of ticket purchase before getting on the bus. We will need a minimum of 20 students to provide the bus. Bus will depart South Shelby at 6:00pm.
