As we approach the First Day of School at Shelby County R-IV, we want to give you an update on some of the ongoing work at the campus. The district has been working this summer to install concrete paving in front of the HS, behind the HS/MS, the east student parking lot and an area between the football field and new Elementary. JT Holman Construction are the General Contractors and have been doing an outstanding job on the project. Wet weather this spring and summer caused some delays, but we are pleased to be ready for the first day of school. We have a couple sections in the student’s parking lot to pour as well as installation of some curbing around the perimeter of the parking lots. Those areas along with some dirt work is all that remains. Please respect the traffic cones in the parking lot as construction finishes up over the next couple weeks. The attached map shows traffic patterns for the Elementary School and MS/HS drop-offs and pick-ups as well as the traffic pattern for the districts school buses. All bus loading and unloading will be on the North side of both buildings. All student drop-offs and pick-ups should be done at the front entrance of each building. The student parking lot will be open on the first day of school. School personnel will be outside the first few days to help direct traffic and parking. Thank you for your continued support.
