This 6th grade Social Studies student gave an over-the-top presentation about the brave deeds of Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. Included in her presentation were favorite quotes of these heroes.
After reading about people who put their lives in danger for the betterment of mankind in Isreals early days, these 6th graders researched brave Americans who have done similar acts of bravery. These 6th graders chose to give oral presentations about heroes Donald Trump, Rosa Parks and Nelson Mandela.
7th grade ELA is learning about the different types of figurative language. We applied our knowledge to music lyrics by listening to different songs, picking out the type of figurative language in the lyric, and explaining the meaning of it.
